New trailer for murder crime comedy "Knives Out"

Dark humor, mystery, a murder case and lots of drops of classic detectives Agatha-Christie-style is what is to find in Knives Out (2019), the upcoming movie from writer, producer and director Rian Johnson, one of the most acclaimed names in Hollywood nowadays. The movie, which is described as a modern take on the whodunit murder mystery, follows a family gathering gone horribly awry after the family patriarch’s death leads a master detective to investigate.

Rian Johnson has surrounded himself with a cast full of stars to give form to his topsy-turvy mystery crime film Knives Out (2019). The writer and director of Brick (2005), The Brothers Bloom (2008), Looper (2012), and Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017) has had under his orders names like Ana de Armas, Don Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Edi Patterson, Michael Shannon, Katherine Langford, Christopher Plummer, LaKeith Stanfield, Jaeden Martell, Riki Lindhome, Frank Oz and M. Emmet Walsh.

In Knives Out (2019), wealthy crime novelist Harlan Thrombey invites his dysfunctional extended family to his remote mansion on his 85th birthday in hopes of reuniting them all. However, the day after the birthday party, Harlan is found dead by members of the family and experienced detective Benoit Blanc is called in to investigate the case. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death. Soon enough, everyone in the family becomes a suspect in his death.

Since its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival, Knives Out (2019) has had a busy international festivals run along these past 2 months including Fantastic Fest (nominated for the Audience Award), Mill Valley Film Festival, London Film Festival, Gent International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Philadelphia International Film Festival (winner of Audience Award for Best Feature), and Denver International Film Festival among others. Now it is ready for its worldwide theatrical release the last weekend of November.
