If you don’t have her on the radar yet, maybe you should write the name of Brea Grant on your list. For 15 years she has been very active in acting jobs having participated mostly in horror productions like Midnight Movie (2008), Halloween II (2009), Trance (2010), The Devil’s Dolls (2016), Beyond the Gates (2016), Dead Night (2017), Sleep No More (2017), Bad Apples (2018), After Midnight (2019), and several episodes in a recurrent role in Dexter (2006–2021) TV series. But her big year was 2020, when she wrote and directed her second feature film, horror thriller 12 Hour Shift (2020), winner of the Best Screenplay Cheval Noir award in Fantasia Film Festival 2020 and achieving several other nominations. Now comes out another title she has written and starred in, of course, another horror thriller, Lucky (2020).
In the movie, a suburban woman and popular self-help book author fights to be believed as she finds herself stalked by a threatening figure who returns to her house night after night. When she can’t get help from those around her, she is forced to take matters into her own hands.
Lucky (2020) is the new movie by Iranian-American filmmaker Natasha Kermani, responsible for the thriller Shattered (2017) and mystery and science-fiction Imitation Girl (2017). Together with Brea Grant, Hunter C. Smith, Kristina Klebe, Kausar Mohammed, Dhruv Uday Singh, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Leith M. Burke, and Tara Perry also star.

Along 2020 it has had a successful festival run including Fantasia Film Festival, Torino Film Festival, Saskatoon Fantastic Film Festival, FrightFest, South By Southwest, and Sitges Film Festival. Now, Shudder has scheduled to add it in their Shudder Originals catalog on March 4, 2021. Here you can watch the new official trailer for the movie.
