The day when we all can see in full the new adventures of Hellboy is getting closer. The new entry of the movie series reboot Hellboy (2019) is coming out in April. After the 2 great movies directed by Guillermo del Toro Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) and starred by Ron Perlman, Doug Jones and Selma Blair, the franchise is now getting a face wash with a new cast and crew, but the same doses of action and humor as the predecessors.
In Hellboy (2019), the heroes must team up to stop an ancient medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy all of mankind. The members of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD), founded by Trevor Bruttenholm and leaded by Hellboy himself, Ben Daimio and Alice Monaghan, will have to use all sorts of magic and fantasy elements in order to stop The Blood Queen who once was one of the most powerful witches in the ancient times of King Arthur and Merlin.
This movie marks the debut of David Harbour as Hellboy and will have to face Milla Jovovich as the villain Nimue The Blood Queen. Together with them, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Thomas Haden Church, Penelope Mitchell, Daniel Dae Kim, Sophie Okonedo, Brian Gleeson, Kristina Klebe, Alistair Petrie and Ashley Edner complete the main cast. Neil Marshall, director of the very interesting Dog Soldiers (2002), The Descent (2005) and Doomsday (2008), is directing a script written by Andrew Cosby in a production where Mike Mignola, the father of the creature, has been involved in the development since the very beginning.
What all the fans wanted is becoming a fact, Hellboy (2019) is rated R for strong bloody violence and gore throughout, and language. Now we only have to wait until next month the movie comes out but meanwhile we can enjoy the new and spectacular trailer.
