The new official Alien: Covenant trailer is out and the Xenomorph seems to be in good shape

“Epic” is one of the words described by many people after seeing the new Alien: Covenant (2017) trailer. “Promising” is also a qualification that could fit to what we all witnessed. This new trailer premiered yesterday, merely a few hours ago, and it already has bleed rivers of ink. The official 20th Century Fox Youtube upload has over 3 milion views in 24 hours, and besides that we should also count all the other media who also shared the clip. That means there were lots and lots of us who were waiting for this new dose of the Alien universe to see the light.

And what do we see in this new teaser? Colonizing going wrong is what it is! The crew of the spaceship Covenant landing in a new planet only to discover that what seems to be paradise might end up being more like hell. But before I ruin the few surprises, why don’t you watch the trailer yourself?

The alien egg plantations, face huggers, the badass Xenomorph, chases in the labyrinthic dark corridors of the Covenant spaceship, and what seems to be a chest- burst about happen. Those are some of the ingredients that made Alien (1979) the cult film it is, are also spotted in this new trailer of Alien: Covenant (2017). Also the plot seems to be quite similar to the original Ridley Scott masterpiece, only changing the cargo spaceship Nostromo form the colonizers from the Covenant. But well, it’s only a trailer, it’s still early to judge. The time will come the 18th of May, when this awaited film will finally see the light.

Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby and Noomi Rapace are under the orders of Ridley Scott to give form this second installation of the trilogy that started with Prometheus (2012) and will finish with a third film, yet unknown, untitled and unscheduled, that will connect with the original Alien (1979).

Only two months and a half are between us right now and us in the theatres hopefully having Alien: Covenant (2017) blowing off our minds. Yeah, I can’t wait!
