There is life after Marvel movies. And why do I say that? The main responsible people behind action thriller Extraction (2020) are strongly attached to the Marvel Cinematographic Universe, and yet it has nothing to do with that world of fantasy, people in colorful costumes and supernatural powers.
In Extraction (2020), a fearless black market mercenary embarks on the most deadly extraction of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. It is the debut feature film of Sam Hargrave, a stunts specialist who has been stunt coordinator of several of the latest superhero movies like Avengers: Endgame (2019), Deadpool 2 (2018) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018). He has also been part of the stunts and fights choreography teams in other movies like Atomic Blonde (2017), The Accountant (2016), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (2014), Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) and The Mechanic (2011). So lots of action and fights are to expect here.
Extraction (2020) has been written by Joe Russo, the half of the Russo Brothers popular for being behind Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and Captain America: Civil War (2016). The screenplay is based on the graphic novel Ciudad, created by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo, and illustrated by Fernando Leon Gonzalez and Eric Skillman.
The main character in Extraction (2020) is performed by Chris Hemsworth, best known by playing Thor in the Marvel movies but who has also starred in several other interesting films like Bad Times at the El Royale (2018), Ghostbusters (2016), Blackhat (2015), and The Cabin in the Woods (2011). Together with him, Golshifteh Farahani, David Harbour, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Pankaj Tripathi, Chris Jai Alex, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Shataf Figar also star.
Extraction (2020) is Rated R for strong bloody violence throughout, language and brief drug use. The movie is produced by AGBO, owned by the Russo Brothers, and it will be released on Netflix on April 24, 2020. Here you can watch the official trailer for the movie.
