Netflix produces Okja, the new Bong Joon-ho work

Recently a few images from the new Bong Joon-ho film under the name of Okja that is suposed to be expected in our screen by next year 2017. The south korean director, responsable of unforgetable titles like Memories of Murder (2003) or The Host (2006) will be produced by the online streaming platform Netflix, so it’s expected to believe that soon it will be ready for home distribution. This is not the first international film by the korean director made in english language, his previous big hit was Snowpiercer (2013) which had an international and attractive cast.

Not much is known about Okja, but regarding the plot available at the portal IMDB.com, it goes like “A young girl named Mija risks everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named Okja”. So it’s expected to find a fantasy adventure, with the surprising style of Bong Joon-ho and with names like Jake Gyllenhaal, Tilda Swinton, Lily Collins or veteran Giancarlo Esposito.

For sure, one of the titles worth to watch next year.
