The veteran and prolific director Dwight H. Little was responsible early on in his career for the sequel to the popular franchise Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988). And his latest work to date is a movie with strong similarities to this classic; let’s check out Natty Knocks (2023).
The movie is an action-packed horror film set in a small town centering on babysitter Britt Henderson. On Halloween Eve, Britt and her “kids” have to survive the horror of serial killer Abner Honeywell, who is himself the traumatized son of B-movie horror legend “Natty Knocks“.
The debutant on a feature film Charlotte Fountain-Jardim plays the lead in a cast that include the horror legends Bill Moseley (Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses (2003), The Devil’s Rejects (2005), and 3 from Hell (2019), Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008), Night of the Living Dead (1990)), Danielle Harris (star in the Halloween franchise in films of the two didfferent plot lines and roles, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), and Rob Zombie’s Halloween (2007) and Halloween II (2009), as well as many other horror titles including Urban Legend (1998), Left for Dead (2007), Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet (2009), The Black Waters of Echo’s Pond (2009), Hatchet II (2010), Stake Land (2010), Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 (2011), Hatchet III (2013), See No Evil 2 (2014), and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)), and Robert Englund, forever linked to the A Nightmare on Elm Street and the horror history for playing the iconic Freddy Krueger. Thomas Robie, Noen Perez, Channah Zeitung, Amit Sarin, Will Murden, and Joey Bothwell as Natty Knocks also star.
The director Dwight H. Little has also been responsible for other horror titles like The Phantom of the Opera (1989), Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004), Tekken (2010), and many episodes of the popular mystery and crime TV series Bones (2005–2017). Benjamin Olson has been the writer of the screenplay for Natty Knocks (2023).
The movie is produced by Knock Knock Films and is scheduled for release on July 21, 2023.
