Yep, a movie where a Murder Mystery Party becomes the scene of a real murder. A classic Agatha Christie theme story that so many times has been adapted, from the classic comedy Murder by Death (1976) starring Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers, Maggie Smith, Peter Falk, and David Niven, to the recent Glass Onion (2022) with Daniel Craig as the sublime detective Benoit Blanc. But let’s focus on Murder at the Murder Mystery Party (2023).
This mystery thriller movie centers on struggling young actress Clara Edwards who sneaks into an elusive, exclusive Murder Mystery Party. She finds herself among a bevy of beautiful, famous Hollywood elite who are suddenly trapped inside and have been put in a game of wits where the murder itself turns out to be all too real.
