As everybody might know, last weekend was the San Diego Comic-Con. And besides witnessing many trailers and teasers from the almost everlasting list of super heroes movies that are to come, it was a fountain of news, rumors and confirmations. Between lots of information, we would like to highlight something that was said at the Marvel press conference, the confirmation that actors Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne will appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), the sequel for Ant-Man (2015).
In this sequel, Michelle Pfeiffer will play Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym, the role that Michael Douglas played in the previous film and will reprise again. Other A-class actresses like Sharon Stone or Catherine Zeta-Jones were previously considered for the role. In the story, Janet Van Dyne was the original The Wasp, an honor and duty that gets passed to Hope van Dyne, which will be played again by Evangeline Lilly. Regarding Laurence Fishburne, his role will be Dr. Bill Foster, the assistant of Hank Pym, which also will turn into Goliath. Paul Rudd also reprises his role of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man. Walton Goggins, Michael Peña, David Dastmalchian and Randall Park complete the main cast.
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) is expected to be one of the box offices hits of summer 2018. The filming has already started this month, so it is to expect soon to get some official images leaked. In the meanwhile, it’s always a good moment to watch again the trailer for Ant-Man (2015).
