Why bother resisting? We all know John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) is going to be one of the most spectacular action movies of the next year. And, as the creators of the saga, including the star Keanu Reeves, have stated, the character is going to come back for more ass-kicking and bullets-shower as long as the audience claims for more. And we are far from getting tired of the best assassin of the new century. Because, as John Wick answers to the statement “you are going to die”, “maybe not”.
The plot for John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) follows the events that happened in the previous installment of the franchise, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019), and finally we can know more details about it. In the new movie, John Wick uncovers a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.
Keanu Reeves is back as John Wick, as it couldn’t be different. Other classics of the saga Lance Reddick (Charon), Laurence Fishburne (Bowery King), and Ian McShane (Winston) also return in a cast that also includes Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, Marko Zaror, Aimée Kwan, and Natalia Tena.
As with the rest of the films of the series, Chad Stahelski is directing John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023). Shay Hatten, one of the writers of the previous movie as well as Army of the Dead (2021), Army of Thieves (2021), and Day Shift (2022), with Michael Finch, the writer of Predators (2010), The November Man (2014), and Hitman: Agent 47 (2015), have been behind the screenplay.
Lionsgate will distribute this Thunder Road Films and 87eleven production, and it is scheduled for a theatrical release worldwide next spring, on March 23, 2023.
