"John Wick"'s director will be in charge of the movie adaptation of "Kill or Be Killed"

After leaving his widely successful career in movie stunts and choreographies, Chad Stahelski has become one of the most attractive directors in action movies of the current decade. And mainly that is thanks to his debut feature film in direction John Wick (2014). His second movie to date, John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017), did nothing to confirm that this was not a trick of luck, but that good Stahelski knows well what he is doing. Since then, a handful of projects are on his table. The third installation of his trademark saga, John Wick: Chapter 3, is already in pre-production. Also, he was announced to be chosen director for the remake of Highlander (1986), the action fantasy classic that Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery starred back in the 1980s.

Now we know that Chad Stahelski has also been chosen to direct the movie adaptation of one of the most beloved titles in the American underground comics, Kill or Be Killed. The comic series was created by writer Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips, and the first issue was published by Image Comics on August 3, 2016. The story is about Dylan, a depressed college student who attempts suicide. He survives due to unlikely events but is soon visited by a demon who explains he spared Dylan’s life. In exchange, Dylan will be allowed to live one more month for every person he kills.

Daniel Casey, the writer of the TV Series Dr0ne (2012– ), will be in charge of the screenplay. So far, the movie adaptation of Kill or Be Killed has only been announced, so it is yet to know who are the actors to incarnate the characters or what are the expected release dates.
