Next January Guy Ritchie is back. And he is back with what he knows best, an action thriller with Jason Statham, marking the fifth collaboration between the director and the star after Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Snatch (2000), Revolver (2005), and the recent Wrath of Man (2021).

Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre (2022), originally called Five Eyes, centers on MI6 super spy Orson Fortune who must track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology wielded by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds. Reluctantly teamed with some of the world’s best operatives, Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star Danny Francesco to help them on their globe-trotting undercover mission to save the world.

Jason Statham plays Orson Fortune in a cast that also includes Cary Elwes, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Hugh Grant, Kaan Urgancioglu, Max Beesley, Eugenia Kuzmina, Lourdes Faberes, Peter Ferdinando, and Eddie Marsan.

Guy Ritchie has been the writer of the screenplay together with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies, who have collaborated with the director in his last movies. Ivan Atkinson is also producing with Jason Statham and Bill Block from Miramax.

STXfilms has scheduled to release Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre (2022) in theaters internationally on January 21, 2022. Watch here its official trailer.
