After being in production for 5 years, now we know February 2018 is when Iron Sky: The Coming Race (2018) will see the light. And the premier will be at the Berlin International Film Festival 2018, what an unrivaled setting for a movie about Nazis coming from the space.
Iron Sky: The Coming Race (2018) is the follow-up to the film Iron Sky (2012) in which Nazis plan to take over the world after lying dormant in a secret military base on the moon. Along these years of film production we have seen several promo images, perhaps the most amazing one was Hitler riding a dinosaur. Now we know in the movie we will see dead or alive historical characters like Sarah Pallin, Margaret Thatcher, Kim Jong-Un, Mark Zuckerberg, Vladimir Putin, Mao Zedong, Stalin, Genghis Khan, Caligula, Osama bin Laden and Steve Jobs just to name a few. Also, Udo Kier will be back as Wolfgang Kortzfleisch. Sounds crazy, like a joke, but honestly I can’t wait to see this movie! Check out the crazy plot: “Twenty years after the events of Iron Sky (2012), the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity – or destroy it once and for all. The truth behind the creation of mankind will be revealed when an old enemy leads our heroes on an adventure into the Hollow Earth. To save humanity they must fight the Vril, an ancient shapeshifting reptilian race and their army of dinosaurs”.
Slovenian industrial band Laibach will be in charge of the soundtrack again. Timo Vuorensola directs the film, as he did with the first Iron Sky (2012). And he is also working on the last installment of his trilogy, Iron Sky: The Ark, already in pre-production. In the meanwhile, and until next February arrives, let’s enjoy the 2 official posters for Iron Sky: The Coming Race (2018) and its over 3 minutes video promo.
