In "Girl" she seeks revenge but will find something more dangerous

Girl (2020) is a suspenseful thriller that lays all its power in the intense interpretation of their stars and the surprises driven by unexpected plot twists. It also shows one of many miserable sides in human beings like abuse, poverty, and low morality. One of those pieces of entertainment to spend a good time but also make you think.

In the movie, a young woman returns to her small hometown intent on killing her abusive father only to discover someone murdered him the day before. As the girl searches for answers, she uncovers a family legacy more dangerous than she’d imagined.

After being behind a couple of short films, Chad Faust debuts as the writer and director of a feature film. He is an experienced actor that has appeared in numerous TV series, short films, and movies including Tamara (2005) and Descent (2007).

Bella Thorne, one of those new faces that despite her young age she has been a real hard worker appearing in numerous horror productions such as Keep Watching (2017), Amityville: The Awakening (2017), I Still See You (2018), The Babysitter (2017) and its sequel The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020), and the Scream TV Series (2015– ), is the main star of the film together with the always interesting Mickey Rourke. Together with them, Elizabeth Saunders, Glen Gould, Lanette Ware, Michael Lipka, Paolo Mancini, and the director Chad Faust complete the main cast.

Girl (2020) has been part of the Canadian film festival Cinéfest Sudbury this September. Pacific Northwest Pictures has the movie’s distribution rights for the Canadian territory while Screen Media Films owns them for the USA. Here you can watch the official trailer.
