Paramount Pictures has set the horror-western Organ Trail (2023) for a surprise limited theatrical release today, April 14, 2023, following its already scheduled digital release on Paramount+ on May 12.
Olivia Grace Applegate, Sam Trammell, Mather Zickel, Zoé De Grand Maison, Clé Bennett, Nicholas Logan, and Michael Abbott Jr. are the main star in the film.
The movie centers on Abigale and her family who fall victim to a ruthless gang while making their way across the Oregon Trail. As the only survivor, she will do whatever it takes to retrieve her one earthly possession, her family’s horse, from the clutches of the bloodthirsty bandits.
Michael Patrick Jann, the director of the teenage cult classic Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) and has made an extensive career as a television director being behind episodes of Reno 911! (2003–) or Daybreak (2019), has been the director of Organ Trail (2023). Meg Turner has been the writer of the screenplay.
