Brandon Slagle is one of those filmmakers that has been working in the movie industry since the early 2000s. As an actor he has been starring in supporting roles in titles like Am I Evil (2007), Duplicity (2009), The Gate of Fallen Angels (2009), Argo (2012), and American Girls (2013). But behind the cameras in when he has spent most of his career, being writer, director, producer, composer, camera, editor and cinematographer of a good set of movies. As a director, he has been responsible for movies like The Dark Avengers (2005), Wonderland (2011), Area 51 Confidential (2011), The Black Dahlia Haunting (2012), House of Manson (2014) or Crossbreed (2019) to name a few.
Now, he has completed his upcoming horror thriller film, entitled The Dawn, and that has been co-written together with Elliot Diviney. In the movie, following the murder of her family at the hands of her father in the wake of World War I, a young woman is sent to live in a convent. However, the demons that plagued her father follow, reawakening the nightmares of her past.
The movie is starred by Stacey Dash, Jonathan Bennett, Teilor Grubbs, Devanny Pinn, Ron Smith, Susan Slaughter, Scott C. Roe, Amanda Day, Kyle Hanus, Claire Engler, Julie Rose, Ryan Kiser, David Goryl and Briana Walden.
The distribution rights for The Dawn belong to Vertical Entertainment in the USA and Kaleidoscope Film Distribution in the international market. A release is planned for 2020.
