If you are into horror comedies, with a mild dosage of satire and demonical supernatural, mark these dates because Porno (2019) is finally coming out. Fangoria has set the movie first headed to selected theaters on April 10th and then a little bit later to Video on Demand on May 8th. This sex demon flick centers five teen employees at the local movie theater in a small Christian town that discover a mysterious old film hidden in its basement, they unleash an alluring succubus who gives them a sex education…written in blood.
In Porno (2019), Abe is a burgeoning perv with a guilty conscience. Todd is Abe’s spazzed out BFF and partner in grime. Chaz is a girl with a boy’s name who hides her feelings behind a thick layer of goth eyeliner. Ricky is the star jock with a secret in his pants he dare not expose. What these uptight dweebs could never have guessed is that the wholesome movie theater they work at used to have a lot more than just gum stuck to the seats. When a remnant of the theater’s porno past surfaces, the kids are visited by a sex demon that gives them a taste of the dark side.
Porno (2019) is the debut feature film of Keola Racela, who won some awards with his short film Above the Sea (2013). Matt Black and Laurence Vannicelli are responsible for the screenplay. Evan Daves, Robbie Tann, Larry Saperstein, Jillian Mueller, Glenn Stott, Katelyn Pearce, and Bill Phillips form the main cast.
Since its world premiere at South by Southwest Film Festival in March last year, Porno (2019) had a long international festivals run last year including its presence at Overlook Film Festival, Munich International Film Festival, Fantasia International Film Festival, FrightFest, Fantasy Filmfest, Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival and Sitges Film Festival.
