Although he is better known for social-oriented dramas like his LGTB awards-winner short film Dare (2005) and the addictions-struggling feature I Smile Back (2015), the new movie of filmmaker Adam Salky is a thriller closer to psychological horror than to his previous works.

In Intrusion (2021), a woman moves to a small town with her husband but is rattled when she is targeted for a home invasion. The traumatized wife searches for answers and learns the real danger is just beginning.

The movie has been written by Chris Sparling, who has experience in the horror genre for his screenplays for Buried (2010), ATM (2012), The Atticus Institute (2015) (which he also directed), Down a Dark Hall (2018), and Greenland (2020).

Freida Pinto, BAFTA Awards nominated for Slumdog Millionaire (2008) who has also participated in Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Immortals (2011), and Blunt Force Trauma (2015), and Logan Marshall-Green, known for popular horror films Devil (2010), Prometheus (2012), The Invitation (2015), and Upgrade (2018), are the stars in Intrusion (2021). Together with them, Robert John Burke, Sarah Minnich, Mark Sivertsen, Hayes Hargrove, and Bonita King complete the main cast.

Intrusion (2021) is scheduled for a release on Netflix on September 22, 2021. Here you can watch its official trailer.
