Wired Shut (2021) is a horror-thriller that could be included in the home-invasion subgenre.
In the movie, Reed Rodney is a disillusioned famous novelist who is unable to talk while recovering in his remote mountain home from major reconstructive jaw surgery is exposed to a life-threatening secret when he receives an unexpected visit from his estranged daughter.
This is the debut feature film from co-writer, producer, editor, and director Alexander Sharp after a long collection of short films developed in the last decade. Peter Malone Elliott is the co-writer of the screenplay.
The very reduced main cast of Wired Shut (2021) is formed by Natalie Sharp, known for her participation in the popular TV series The Flash (2014–) and BH90210 (2019), Blake Stadel, who has had supporting roles in Rise of the Damned (2011), Kindergarten Cop 2 (2016), and Baby Monitor Murders (2020), and Behtash Fazlali, the star of horror film The Evil in Us (2016).
Wired Shut (2021) is scheduled for a digital release on November 30, 2021, by 101 Films.
