"Gatlopp": Game night, drinks, and supernatural shit in this horror-comedy

Game night, a great plan when the weekend comes, there is not much going on, and the weather is not your ally. At least, that’s what this group of friends thought. Let’s take a look at horror-comedy Gatlopp (2022).

The movie centers on a group of old friends who reunites for a nostalgic evening of fun and games after a decade apart. After one too many, they decide to play a drinking game, but it’s quickly revealed that this game comes with supernatural stakes. Mischief leads to mayhem, and the group realizes that if they can’t come together to win the game by sunrise, they will be forced to play for eternity – in hell.

This is the debut feature film of awards-winner Mexican filmmaker Alberto Belli after being behind a collection of short films, music videos, and TV series episodes. Jim Mahoney, one of the stars of the film, is the writer of the screenplay.

Alongside Jim Mahoney, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Jon Bass, Sarunas J. Jackson, Shelley Hennig, John Ales, Amy Davidson, Patricia Belcher, Nancy Linehan Charles, and Kate Cobb also star.

Gatlopp (2022) is produced by Mark Lane and James Harris of Tea Shop Films, the producers of I Am Not a Serial Killer (2016), 47 Meters Down (2017), and The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018). XYZ Films is distributing.

The movie is scheduled for a digital release on June 16, 2022. Watch the official trailer for Gatlopp (2022) here.
