Gary Oldman is back to the horror genre with "Mary"

Although it was announced a couple of months ago that charismatic and fantastic actor Gary Oldman would join the cast for the upcoming horror title Mary, it is now when we start to get a full picture of the cast and crew of this movie, currently in post-production. Mary is the new movie from director Michael Goi, probably better known for his second feature film Megan Is Missing (2011), a crude film about two teenage girls encountering an Internet child predator, as well as directing several episodes of American Horror Story (2015-2016).

This time, the filmmaker adapts a script written by Anthony Jaswinski, the author of the frantic The Shallows (2016) or Kristy (2014). Together with Gary Oldman, Mary is also starred by Emily Mortimer, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Stefanie Scott, Owen Teague and Claire Byrne. The shooting took place in Alabama at the end of this summer.

Mary sails on the seas of a supernatural thriller –no pun intended–. In it, a family buys an old ship at auction and they discover the ship’s secrets once they are out in the isolated open waters. So a good dose of frights in high seas and creepy tensions are expected in this film, that still doesn’t have a release opening date.

We’ll stay aware of when the first images or teasers for the film appear.
