After seeing the trailer for The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020), one could think the movie might be a hybrid between WolfCop (2014) and 30 Days of Night (2007): The snowed arid locations of Utah, USA, the supernatural creature haunting the inhabitants of a little town under the full moon, and a group of cops, maybe not the most efficient ones, trying to save the day –or night, in this case–.
In The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020), terror grips a small mountain town as bodies are discovered after each full moon. Losing sleep, raising a teenage daughter, and caring for his ailing father, officer John Marshall struggles to remind himself there’s no such thing as werewolves.
The movie will always be remembered for a sad fact, as it is the final film of veteran actor Robert Forster before he passed on last year. It is also starred by Riki Lindhome, Chloe East, Jimmy Tatro, Marshall Allman, Laura Coover, Annie Hamilton, Jessica Park, and Kelsey Edwards. Jim Cummings, writer and director of the movie, also plays John Marshall, one of the main roles in The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020). This is his second feature film after also being writer, director and star in Thunder Road (2018), and a wide collection of short films and TV series.
Orion Classics has the distribution rights for the film, and it has scheduled it for a digital and limited theatrical release on October 9, 2020, coincidentally two days before the first anniversary of Robert Forster’s decease.
