Campfire stories are fun. Laughs in front of a fire, surrounded by a lovely landscape, feeling the cold breeze on your face and some chills in your bones, and knowing that although you feel kinda naked and intimate with nature you are not alone. Lots of creatures out there. The birds singing during the day, insects chipping during the night, but probably much more than our eyes have not witnessed yet. It is fun to go explore the woods, learning stories about mythical animals, but the protagonists of Dawn of the Beast (2021) will end up facing something they are not prepared for.
In the movie, a group of graduate students gets more than they bargained for while searching for the legendary Bigfoot. Not only is he real, but there’s something far more evil lurking in the shadows, the Wendigo.
This is the new work by Bruce Wemple, an awards-winner filmmaker responsible for the science-fiction and horror-oriented titles Altered Hours (2016), Lake Artifact (2019), Monstrous (2020), and The Retreat (2020). The movie was written by actress and producer Anna Shields.
The movie is starring Francesca Anderson, Adrián Burke, Chris Cimperman, Ariella Mastroianni, Roger M. Mayer, Willard Morgan, Grant Schumacher, LeJon Woods, and Anna Shields.
Dawn of the Beast (2021) is already available on-demand. Here you can watch the maybe a little bit too dark but very exciting trailer.
