Sometimes the real nightmare is being awake. This is the headline and gives you a hint of the premise of the science-fiction and mystery thriller Cryo (2022).
In the movie, five scientists awake from cryogenic sleep and find themselves trapped in an underground facility. With no memory of who they are or how long they’ve been asleep, they begin to realize they may have been part of a scientific experiment gone wrong. After a series of strange events, the scientists find themselves being hunted. They do not know who is hunting them or for what reason, but the scientists begin to suspect that one of them may be the killer.
This is the debut feature film of Barrett Burgin after a few short films including the awards-winner Out of the Ground (2017) and The Next Door (2016). He has also been the writer of the screenplay together with Mason D. Davis.
The cast for Cryo (2022) is formed by Jyllian Petrie, Emily Marie Palmer, Mason D. Davis, Curt Doussett, Morgan Gunter, and Michael Flynn.
Saban Films is distributing the movie and has set it for release in selected theaters on June 24, 2022, and on digital on June 28, 2022. Watch here the official trailer for Cryo (2022).
