Although it was released a couple of weeks ago, not many people was aware of it. There are so many news calling our attention that it is easy the Wish Upon trailer was unnoticed. In the film, Claire is a teenage girl whose mother killed herself, her father is insane and her school mates treat her like garbage. Everything changes when she discovers an ancient music box with magic powers, but that comes with a deadly price. Seven wishes are granted for the one who can release the spirit contained there. But what Claire didn’t know there is an evil entity living inside of the box and a bunch of gruesome deaths start to happen.
The movie is directed by John R. Leonetti, who is one of the most desired directors after the success of Annabelle (2014). The script was written by Barbara Marshall, responsable of the text for Viral (2016). And the cast is full of young and not so young good looking stars like Joey King, Sherilyn Fenn, Ryan Phillippe, Elisabeth Röhm, Shannon Purser, Ki Hong Lee, Sydney Park, and Alice Lee.
The film is currently in post-production and it’s expected to hit american theaters the 30th of June. It is yet unknown if it will be seen in cinemas in the rest of the world, or if it will be a straight to video release. So tell us, “What’s your wish?”
