Don’t Let Go (2019) is a supernatural action thriller about a man who loses his family in what appears to be a murder. Until one day he gets a phone call from one of the dead, his niece. Is he going mad? Is he talking to a ghost? What the hell is going on? And at the end, he takes the call and together they try to change the happened events.
The movie is one of the titles Blumhouse Productions have to offer this year. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2019, and it achieved mostly positive reviews. Jacob Estes, director of Mean Creek (2004) which achieved a couple of nominations in Cannes Film Festival in 2004, has been behind the camera. The story was penned with the director together with Drew Daywalt.
David Oyelowo, Golden Globes nominee for his performances in Nightingale (2014) and Selma (2014), stars in Don’t Let Go (2019). With him, Storm Reid, Mykelti Williamson, Byron Mann, Shinelle Azoroh, Omar Leyva and Daniel R. Lawson also star.
The movie was filmed along 2017. It is scheduled to be released on August 30, 2019. Its first trailer just got out and you can watch it here:
