The San Diego Comic-Con 2017 finishes today Sunday, and in this years edition big studios haven’t wasted their time sharing images for their upcoming films or giving out all kinds of inputs about new features on the works. As one could imagine, movies based on comics characters were the most popular ones within the audience and the media. Perhaps one of the most celebrated official teaser trailers was the one for The Nun (2018), the next spin-off from The Conjuring (2013) to see the light.
Another of the main dishes for this years edition was the first teaser trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018), the sequel for Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 film. The movie is currently in post-productin, with all the footage already filmed, so the flow of official images and video clips can already start. This time, the movie is directed by debutant Steven S. DeKnight, who has been involved in TV Series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), Angel (1999–2004), Smallville (2001–2011) or Daredevil (2015– ).
Guillermo del Toro has not been involved in the development of this sequel , of which not much of the plot is known. John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeney, Jing Tian, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Levi Meaden, Adria Arjona, Karan Brar and Nick E. Tarabay star the film expected to be release early next year.
