The release date for Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) is 2 years, but the people from Godzilla-Movies.com have already published the first official images from the film. The website, dedicated to all kinds of news regarding the universe of Godzilla, posted recently a handful of images of the filming set and the crew working on the movie. The filming began the 19th of June. “Unlike the shoot in Vancouver for Gareth Edwards‘ Godzilla (2014), filming on King of the Monsters seems to be more secretive and discrete, with sets and props being shielded (for the most part) from the public. However, some determined scouts managed to snap a few photos despite the fact and have shared them online via our friends at Gormaru Island”, reads the post published on the site.
The director’s chair of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) belongs to Michael Dougherty, a promising filmmaker responsible of Trick ‘r Treat (2007) and Krampus (2015). The script is co-written by Dougherty together with Max Borenstein and Zach Shields. Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, Randy Havens, Sally Hawkins, Bradley Whitford, Zhang Ziyi and Ken Watanabe lead the cast.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) is the sequel for Godzilla (2014), directed by Gareth Edwards, which regarding making a profitable box office achieved mixed opinions in the audience and critics. The plot goes: In 1999, the Janjira nuclear plant was mysteriously destroyed with most hands lost including supervisor Joe Brody‘s colleague and wife, Sandra. This enables them to witness the reawakening of a terrible threat to all of Humanity, which is made all the worse with a second secret revival elsewhere. Against this cataclysm, the only hope for the world may be Godzilla, but the challenge for the King of the Monsters will be great even as Humanity struggles to understand the destructive ally they have.
