First full trailer for video game film adaptation "Monster Hunter"

Last Friday, Sony Pictures Releasing put out the first 15 seconds teaser for one of their top movies coming out in the Winter season, Monster Hunter (2020). And only a few days later we can already see the full trailer, and it truly looks spectacular.

The videogame movie adaptation has been written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, better known for being behind the popular essential Resident Evil film franchise. Milla Jovovich is the main star of the show, with the main cast that is complete with Tony Jaa, T.I., Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au-Yeung, Jannik Schümann, Hirona Yamazaki, Nic Rasenti, Nanda Costa, and Ron Perlman.

The premise for the movie follows an elite military force, led by Lt. Artemis, who falls through a portal into a world populated by giant monsters. They meet a hunter who helps them to survive in the world and fight against the monsters as they seek a way home. They engage in a desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers.

Produced by Screen Gems and Constantin Film, the movie has been changing release dates for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was first scheduled to be released on September 4, 2020, but was delayed to April 23, 2021. Later, it has found its final release date on December 30, 2020.

Monster Hunter (2020) is Rated PG-13 for sequences of creature action and violence throughout. You can watch the first full trailer of the movie here.
