These last weeks vampires are taking over the screens, only this time more in an urban way than the more romantic and classic environment we were more used to seeing them. Netflix recently released the film Night Teeth (2021), and Shudder will add to their catalog Dead & Beautiful (2021) in early November. And a third film can be added to the list, take a look at Appetite for Sin (2021).
The movie tells the story of women vampires walking among the living in Los Angeles. The lead Vampire Sarah Hase is searching for the most current Vampire Killer, Jeffery Nelson. Sarah, who is also an undercover FBI agent, wants to catch him in the act and have him live in jail for eternity. Another Vampire is also out to get him but wants to instantly kill him. Or is she using Jeffery Nelson to get to Sarah? Who will get to Jeffery Nelson first?
This is the debut feature film of writer and director Matthew Vinaja after a few horror short films.
Veteran horror icon Linnea Quigley, popular for the cult films Graduation Day (1981), Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984), The Return of the Living Dead (1985), and Night of the Demons (1988), leads the main cast of Appetite for Sin (2021). With her, Ari Lehman, Shawn C. Phillips, Robert Allen Mukes, Devanny Pinn, Eva Hamilton, Eileen Dietz, Ricky Herrera, and Missy Sahagun also star.
