
The creator of the popular horror-comedies Meet the Blacks (2016) and its follow-up The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2 (2021), Deon Taylor, goes full horror in his new movie Fear (2023).
The movie centers on a group of friends who gather for a much-needed weekend getaway at a remote and historic hotel. Celebration turns into terror as one by one, each guest faces their own worst fear due to a contagious airborne threat.
Deon Taylor is producing with his banner Hidden Empire Film Group (HEFG), with which he has developed other horror and thriller titles like Supremacy (2014), Traffik (2018), The Intruder (2019), Black and Blue (2019), and Fatale (2020), and is also the director and co-writer of the film. John Ferry is the co-writer of the screenplay.
The cast in Fear (2023) is formed by Joseph Sikora, Andrew Bachelor, Annie Ilonzeh, Ruby Modine, Iddo Goldberg, Terrence Jenkins, Jessica Allain, Tyler Abron, and Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris.
The movie is Rated R for bloody violence and language. It is scheduled to come out on a limited theatrical release and on digital on January 27, 2023.
