This fall, Lithuania, France, and Belgium science-fiction and adventure production Vesper (2022) will see the light.

The film starts after the collapse of Earth’s ecosystem. Vesper, a 13-year-old girl, who is struggling to survive with her paralyzed father, meets a mysterious woman with a secret that forces Vesper to use her wits, strength, and bio-hacking abilities to fight for the possibility of a future.

This is the new movie of the tandem of awards-winner writers and directors formed by Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, responsible for the movies Kolekcioniere (2008), Vanishing Waves (2012), and the segment “K is for Knell” in ABCs of Death 2 (2014). Brian Clark has also contributed to the screenplay.

The title character Vesper is played by the young emerging British actress Raffiella Chapman, who has starred in Homebound (2021), the TV series His Dark Materials (2019–2022), and the fantasy and adventure film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016). Eddie Marsan (The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009), The World’s End (2013), Atomic Blonde (2017)) and Richard Brake (Doom (2005), 31 (2016), 3 from Hell (2019)) also star in a cast that also includes Rosy McEwen, Melanie Gaydos, and Edmund Dehn.

The movie, which originally was planned to be named Vesper Seeds, is set for a release on September 30, 2022.
