Lately all the concept of “escape room” is becoming a big hype. Not only because of movies like the Saw franchise of homonymous films like the recent Escape Room (2017), but also it’s turning into one of the most popular group outdoor activities to do with your friends. Although, this time, regarding the plot that has transcended from this new movie, the setup might be closer to the saga starred by Jigsaw than an entertainment event gone wrong.

The movie is directed by Adam Robitel, known for being behind titles like Insidious: The Last Key (2018) and The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) as well as writing the screenplay for Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (2015). Deborah Ann Woll, Tyler Labine, Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Nik Dodani, Jessica Sutton, Jay Ellis, Jamie-Lee Money and Vere Tindale star in the movie. Also, director Adam Robitel, who was an actor before becoming a filmmaker, having appeared in titles like 2001 Maniacs (2005) and 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams (2010), saves a small role for himself.
