Demon Squad (2019) is a fantasy and horror adventure film about a Paranormal Investigator who delves into a hidden world of monsters and creatures of the night as he takes on a case to retrieve an ancient artifact with astonishing power.
The star of the show is Nick Moon, P.I. (Paranormal Investigator) against a wildly bizarre buffet of bad. Moon has more than just a hangover to contend with when he takes a case brought to him by the beautiful heiress, Lilah Fontaine. Moon and his psychic-in-training office manager, Daisy, and themselves navigating a hidden underworld of trolls, vampires, and other creatures of the night, as they quickly realize they’re on a hunt for much more than a priceless artifact – and that they’re not the only ones who want it.
Thomas Smith was the director of the movie, an awards-winner filmmaker that already debuted in a feature film with The Night Shift (2011) and recently got to direct Backwoods (2020). He is also the writer of the screenplay, together with Erin Lilley, one of the stars in the film.
The main cast is formed by Khristian Fulmer, Erin Lilley, Leah Christine Johnson, Martin Ross Henne, Monica Ganoe, and Eric C. Schmitz.

Demon Squad (2019) has now been selected to be part of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 (2017–2022) TV series where the characters watch B-movie films. Set in the not-too-distant future, a Gizmonic Institute employee is lured to the dark side of the moon by third-generation mad scientist Kinga Forrester and her flunky, Max. He is sat in front of cheesy movies with his robot buddies and forced to tortuously watch bad movies in their entirety as these mad scientists study the effects on his mind.
Demon Squad (2019)’s director Thomas Smith stated that “being a lifelong fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (2017–2022), as is most everyone involved with the making of Demon Squad (2019), having our film featured on the show is surreal, but I welcome it”.
