Would you blindly trust your best friend with your own life? Is it safe to openly trust strangers? What is this mystery with job aspirations and personal relationships that we still haven’t unscrambled? These are the subjects we will find in the thriller Dead in the Water (2021).
In the movie, when aspiring photography vlogger Tara gets dumped by her long term boyfriend, her best friend Amy takes her on a weekend getaway to her family’s vacation lake house where a mysterious and effortlessly attractive man crosses their path. They decide he’s the perfect way to spice up their trip, but his presence causes emotions to run high, and suddenly the girls are forced to face the demons between themselves – or is it something more devious?
Dead in the Water (2021) is the new movie of Japanese-Hawaiian producer, writer, and director Nanea Miyata after the musical drama-comedy Christmas Harmony (2018), only this time she has chosen a much darker story. Catherine Lidstone, Angela Gulner, Peter Porte, Michael Blake Kruse, and Sam Krumrine form the main cast.
