Sapiosexual (2023), also known as Sapio, is the new movie written, produced, directed, and starring Deborah Twiss, an actress and filmmaker known for her role of Mrs. Zane in the hit film Kick-Ass (2010) and the protagonist of the independent crime thriller A Gun for Jennifer (1997). As a director, she has worked mainly in crime thrillers in titles like A Beautiful Distraction (2020), Confidence Game (2016), A Cry from Within (2014), and In Between (2005), most of the times also starring in one of the main roles.
In her new upcoming work, the story is centered on three people who gather for an “uncoupling celebration” arranged by the aging narcissist Liam. Both Hannah and Freddie, Liam’s guests as well as victims, have dark ties to his past and plenty of their own secrets. When the power goes out during a thunderstorm, the deepest truth is revealed, changing each person’s life forever.
David Edwin, Nick Hardin, Lora Davisson Sumner, and Rob Klein also star.
This thriller with a high erotic content is scheduled for a Video on Demand release by Breaking Glass Pictures on May 16, 2023.
