An easy way to put it out, in case you want a quick summary, would be that Crawlspace (2022) is some sort of violent adult version of Home Alone (1990). In the movie, a family man finds himself trapped in the crawlspace of a remote Oregon cabin where ruthless poachers have stashed their gains.

After witnessing a brutal murder in a cabin, a man hides in a crawlspace while the killers scour the property for a hidden fortune. As they draw nearer, he must decide if the crawlspace will be his tomb or the battleground in his fight for survival.

This is the new movie from director L. Gustavo Cooper after the horror flicks June (2015), The Devil Incarnate (2013), and a collection of short films. Jacob D. Wehrman debuts as the writer of a screenplay.

The main attraction in the movie is Henry Thomas, forever known as young Elliott in the classic science-fiction and fantasy film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and who has recently starred in Dreamkatcher (2020), Doctor Sleep (2019), Gerald’s Game (2017), and Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016). Bradley Stryker, C. Ernst Harth, Jennifer Robertson, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Joe Costa, Catherine Lough Haggquist, Colin Decker, Andrei Kovski, Charles Jarman, and Fletcher Donovan complete the main cast.

Crawlspace (2022) is Rated R for violence, language throughout, drug use, and some sexual references. The movie is distributed by Paramount Pictures and is already available on digital platforms.
