I personally don’t know where does all this coulrophobia, or fear of clowns, comes from. Of course, they are perhaps the most un-funny funny-wannabe characters that one can find in the world of domestic entertainment (an honor shared with mimes, I must say), and probably the recent fever for that hype that Joker (2019) was, and bizarre productions like Clownado (2019), do nothing but to keep the flame alive. But, hey, when a real mad man puts on a mask and goes on a murdering rampage with a hunting knife, then, my friends, the fear is more than understood. And that is what Clownface (2019) offers.
A deranged young man, donned in a clown mask made of human flesh, terrorizes a small town with a series of abductions and murders. Neighbors Jenna and Owen search for their missing friend Zoe, who may be the latest victim of this local urban legend known as Clownface.
Clownface (2019) is the new movie of writer and director Alex Bourne after his debut feature film The House of Screaming Death (2017). The movie is starred by Hannah Douglas, Richard Buck, Thomas Loone, Dani Tonks, Leah Solmaz, Abigail Wisdom, Chloe Rose Fisher, Deborah McEwan, and Philip Bailey as Clownface.
Along 2019, Clownface (2019) has been part of several film festivals like Los Angeles Film Awards, Glasgow Horror Fest: BITE SIZE, and Bristol Watershed Cinema screening, and since August the movie is available on Video on Demand and DVD. Here you can watch the official trailer for Clownface (2019).
