"Clock": A clinical trial to restore her biological clock turns into a nightmare

I personally never understood it, but I can’t with this obsession with having kids when you are going from your twenties to your thirties, expressions like “the biological clock is ticking”. And it’s something pretty universal, not something coming from a certain country, culture, race, or class status. Everybody seems to be obsessed with procreation, putting this fake necessity even before personal achievement, working status, or even finding a partner to go on with this family adventure. But I guess these are the nonsense times we are in.

The horror and psychological thriller movie Clock (2023) deals with this case with a horrifying twist.

It tells the story of Ella, a woman who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children. She will get into the hands of a pioneering doctor managing Ella’s treatment.

Alexis Jacknow debuts with a feature film as the writer and director of Clock (2023).

The main cast in the movie is formed by Dianna Agron, Saul Rubinek, Jay Ali, Grace Porter, Stefan Sims, Jane Schwartz, and the Primetime Emmy Awards nominee for Transparent (2014–2019) Melora Hardin as the mysterious Dr. Elizabeth Simmons.

The movie was part of the Overlook Film Festival on March 30, 2023, where it got mostly positive reviews. It is set to premiere as part of the Hulu Originals catalog on April 28, 2023.
