2017 is being a good year for science fiction. Another title to add to the list of movies we want to watch this year is The Sound (2017). In it, A supernatural skeptic detective, together with a best-sellers writer, set off to debunk paranormal sightings using low-frequency sound-waves in an abandoned subway station and is met with unforeseen evil and eerie memories.
The Sound (2017) is the directional debut film for the former actress, producer, and writer Jenna Mattison, who spent most of her previous career in the genres of romance and comedy. But luckily for us, she chose to build this dark creepy horror science fiction thriller as her first film as director. Filming took place in Toronto, Canada, and is expected to have soon a theatrical distribution in the USA via Orion Pictures.
The Sound (2017) is starred by Rose McGowan, which marks her comeback to acting after a short period where she was more involved in music projects and short film directing. With her, Christopher Lloyd and Michael Eklund complete the main cast.
