Her name is Sarah Connor, and she hunts terminators. This is the catchline of the new red band TV spot for the upcoming movie Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), the sixth installment in the Terminator franchise and the first since Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) to have franchise creator James Cameron involved.
More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 – travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace, an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor. As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.
Reuniting the original cast of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), formed by Arnold Schwarzenegger as The T-800 Terminator, Edward Furlong as John Connor and Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, together with the director of the first two movies now serving as producer and co-writer of the story James Cameron, should be enough bait for the fans to attend to the cinemas and watch this new dazzling action and science-fiction spectacle. Tim Miller, director of Deadpool (2016), has been behind the cameras with a screenplay by David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes, and Billy Ray.
Together with the starring trio Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, and Edward Furlong, Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, Tom Hopper, Cassandra Starr, Brett Azar, Diego Boneta, Tábata Cerezo, Steven Cree, and Pete Ploszek also star. Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) will be distributed by Paramount Pictures in North America and 20th Century Fox under Walt Disney Studios in the rest of the world. The film is scheduled to be theatrically released globally on November 1, 2019, although some European territories like Germany, UK and France will have the release one week previous.
