Check out the hilarious trailer for vampire horror-comedy "Let the Wrong One In"

The catchline for Let the Wrong One In (2021) is, in fact pretty catchy: “Matt may be a sucker, but when his brother becomes part of a growing vampire problem in Dublin, he’s faced with the dilemma of saving or slaying him”. If this already called your attention keep on reading because this flick is promising.

The movie centers on Matt, a naive teenager who works in a supermarket. His life changes when he discovers that his older brother, an outcast named Deco, has turned into a vampire. Then he has to decide whether to help him stay alive or, on the contrary, to drive a stake into him so that he does not bite anyone.

This is the new movie of the awards-winner writer and director Conor McMahon, who debuted with a feature film with the Irish underground zombie classic Dead Meat (2004), which was followed by a long career in horror including The Disturbed (2009), Stitches (2012), From the Dark (2014), the anthology Hotel Darklight (2009), and the TV series Zombie Bashers (2010– ).

The main cast for Let the Wrong One In (2021) is formed by Karl Rice, Eoin Duffy, Hilda Fay, Lisa Haskins, Louise Bourke, Jordan Lennon, Louise McCann, Laura Murray, Mary Murray, David Pearse, and Anthony Head in a supporting role pretty similar to the one who gave him popularity, the nerdy vampire slayer professor Rupert Giles in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) TV series.

Let the Wrong One In (2021) has been taking part in a bunch of popular genre film festivals including Fantastic Fest, Sitges Film Festival, Fantasy Filmfest, Trieste Science+Fiction Festival, Dublin International Film Festival where star Karl Rice was nominated for the Discovery Award, and Screamfest Horror Film Festival where it won the Jury Prize for Best Visual Effects.

Dark Sky Films has the distribution rights for the movie and has scheduled it for a release in selected theaters and on digital on April 1st, 2022.
