Bruce Willis and Michael Rooker star in "Corrective Measures": Anarchy in the most dangerous prison

At this point, I guess everybody knows about the retirement of Bruce Willis from the acting profession due to his aphasia disease, a disorder that is caused by damage to the area of the brain that controls language expression and comprehension. On one side, it is an absolute tragedy because behind the movie star there is a person with his human condition and his family that is suffering the consequences of his health deterioration. But in a selfish fan perspective, this is finally an end to the eternal list of horrible projects he has been embarking on for the last years. A very pathetic end for a career that gave us never-forgetting performances in absolute classics of modern cinema like Pulp Fiction (1994), The Fifth Element (1997), or the Die Hard saga. Yet, Corrective Measures (2022) is not the last movie to star Bruce Willis, there are still a few ones in post-production to open in the following months.

Corrective Measures (2022) is a science-fiction and action thriller set in the world’s most dangerous maximum-security penitentiary, home to the most treacherous criminals. Tensions among the inmates and staff heighten, leading to the anarchy that engulfs the prison, and order is turned upside down. The “ubermax” prison containing monsters, cyborgs, and supervillains is overseen by a sadistic Warden as corrupt as his charges. His sole interest is in getting his hands on convict Julius Loeb’s untraceable fortune. But Julius is a super-genius who may not be so willing to part with his riches.

The movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Grant Chastain published by Arcana. Sean Patrick O’Reilly is the producer, writer, and director. Founder and C.E.O. of Arcana Studios, O’Reilly has also been responsible for the animation movies Pixies (2015), The Steam Engines of Oz (2018), and Go Fish (2019).

Together with Bruce Willis, the other big name in the cast is Michael Rooker, another actor that mixes attractive performances in big movies The Suicide Squad (2021), Love and Monsters (2020), Brightburn (2019), The Belko Experiment (2016), and the Guardians of the Galaxy saga with forgettable titles like the recent Blumhouse fiasco Fantasy Island (2020). Tom Cavanagh, Brennan Mejia, Kevin Zegers, Dan Payne, Celia Aloma, Hayley Sales, Kat Ruston, and Matthew Kevin Anderson also star.

Corrective Measures (2022) is scheduled to be released on the streaming platform Tubi TV as part of the Tubi Originals catalog on April 29, 2022. Watch here its official trailer.
