After the audience and financial success of horror mystery The Boy (2016), director William Brent Bell, writer Stacey Menear and Lakeshore Entertainment together with STX Entertainment decided to join forces together again for a sequel. It was back in October 2018, when it was announced that a sequel was in development. Now, the first trailer for Brahms: The Boy II (2020) has seen the light.

The original film was centering an American nanny being shocked that her new English family’s boy is actually a life-sized doll. After she violates a list of strict rules, disturbing events make her believe that the doll is really alive. In the sequel, Katie Holmes plays Liza, the mother of a young family who unaware of the dark history, move into the Heelshire Mansion. The premise will follow the story of the youngest son finding the porcelain doll, and befriending Brahms

Brahms: The Boy II (2020) is also starred by Owain Yeoman, Ralph Ineson, Christopher Convery, Anjali Jay, Oliver Rice, Joely Collins and Natalie Moon. Principal photography began in January 2019 and wrapped that March.

Brahms: The Boy II (2020) is rated PG-13 for violence, terror, brief strong language and thematic elements. The movie is scheduled to be released on February 21, 2020, after being pushed back from the original release date on July 26, 2019, and December 6, 2019.
