"Bloody Hell": The Australian gory comedy is this month at Fantasy Filmfest

Bloody Hell (2020) is a horror-thriller with a strong comedy side about a man with a mysterious past who flees the country to escape his own personal hell, only to arrive somewhere much, much worse.

As the movie description published at Fantasy Filmfest reads,

Rex only wanted to finally play the hero, but somehow that brought him eight years in prison. After detention, he only wants to get away from the US as far as possible, which hates and celebrates him at the same time. So why not go to Finland? A pretty stupid idea, as Rex will find out in an extremely painful way. Bloody Hell (2020) is one of those divine gore comedies hurling out its absurd turns and punchlines at a tireless pace.

Awards-winner filmmaker Alister Grierson, responsible for titles like Kokoda: 39th Battalion (2006), Sanctum (2011), and Tiger (2018), is the director of Bloody Hell (2020). Robert Benjamin was in charge of the screenplay. The film is starred by Ben O’Toole, Meg Fraser, Caroline Craig, Matthew Sunderland, Travis Jeffery, Jack Finsterer, David Hill, Joshua Brennan, Ashlee Lollback, and Sophia Emberson-Bain.

Bloody Hell (2020) already had a limited release in Australia where it had a very positive reception. The movie has been chosen to be the closing title of this year’s German festival Fantasy Filmfest. You can check the different screenings on the official site here.
