"Blood Covered Chocolate", a very personal homage to horror classic Nosferatu, is out this weekend

Shot in a beautiful and disturbing black and white, the crime and fantasy horror Blood Covered Chocolate (2022) is a unique homage to classic Nosferatu (1922). A film that somehow reminds of that little Abel Ferrara independent cult pearl The Addiction (1995).

The movie centers on a recovering drug-addict named Massimo who is bitten by an ancient shapeshifting monster and he must fight to save his girlfriend Tien from the same bloody fate.

This is the new movie written and directed by Monte Light, a filmmaker winner for the Silver Ace Award for Best Sudent Short Film at the Las Vegas Film Festival for the horror tale Thanatopolis (2009) and who debuted with a feature film with Space (2020). He’s also been responsible for the segment Woman Scorned in the horror anthology 2 Die For (2018).

Christine Nguyen, Michael Klug, Helene Udy, Mike Ferguson, Debra Lamb, Meghan Deanna Kingsley, Joe Altieri, and Jamie Tran form the main cast in Blood Covered Chocolate (2022).

The movie has been the winner of the Best Director award at the Culver City Film Festival, the Festival Award for Best Actress (Debra Lamb) at the Shockfest Film Festival, and the Festival Award for Best Cinematography (Neal Tyler) at the Silver State Film Festival.

Terror Films has the distribution rights for Blood Covered Chocolate (2022) and has scheduled it for a digital release on April 7, 2023. Watch its trailer here.
