Crime thriller Broken (2021) is the new film of Patrick Phillips, a producer, and director that gained some attention with his debut feature Good People, Bad Things (2008).
In the movie, what starts as just another delivery becomes the catalyst for life-shattering trouble. With Brian injured and evidence mounting against them, three friends find themselves on the run from the law. In a panic, Brian turns to his mentor and ringleader, Bear, and together they come up with a perfect scheme of betrayal and murder.
The screenplay was written by star Laura Buckles and Keith Johnson based on a story by director Patrick Phillips.
Laura Buckles plays Chief Anna Kimble, the police agent in charge of the investigation. Together with her, Griffin Cork, Tina-Marie Springham, S-Raj Kumar, Morgan LeBlanc, Neil Chase, Alice Creed, Karina Cox, Morgan Yamada, and Fawn Martin also star.
Broken (2021) achieved multiple nominations and some awards at the Hollywood North Film Awards, and also won the Bronze Remi Award for Best Dramatic Feature at WorldFest Houston. The movie is available on Amazon Prime Video. You can watch here its trailer.
