The story-start in Horror in the High Desert (2021) could perfectly be a true story. How many people have been lost in the mountains around the world? Some of them are found dead, some others reappear time after, but some remain a mystery.
In July 2017, an experienced outdoor enthusiast vanished in Northern Nevada while on an outdoor excursion. After an extensive search, he was never located. On the three-year anniversary of his disappearance, friends and loved ones recall the events leading up to his vanishing, and for the first time, speak about the horrifying conclusion of his fate.
Horror in the High Desert (2021) is written and directed by Dutch Marich, known for his previous horror thrillers Reaptown (2020), Infernum (2019), Miserable Sinners (2018), The Dark Hand (2016), Hunting (2015), and Bleed Out (2011).
Suziey Block, the star in horror movies Wonder Valley (2015) and Entrance (2012), stars in Horror in the High Desert (2021). Together with her, Tonya Williams Ogden, David Morales, Eric Mencis, and Errol Porter complete the main cast.
