An agoraphobic woman is the subject of a documentary in "They're Outside"

They’re Outside (2020) is a supernatural horror movie that after a limited release in the UK last year it is now coming out worldwide this Halloween.

In the movie, while filming a documentary, a YouTube celebrity psychologist attempts to convince an intensely agoraphobic woman to leave her home in just ten days. As time starts to run out on his self-imposed challenge, he begins to learn of a creepy local legend that holds her, and the town, in its grip. Pagan rituals, dark fairytales, and folklore soon become a horrifying reality.

This is the debut film of the tandem of filmmakers Sam Casserly and Airell Anthony Hayles. The movie has been written by Hayles, who is also a producer for the film.

The cast for They’re Outside (2020) is formed by Emily Booth, Nicholas Vince, Brad Moore, Jon-Paul Gates, Emma Burdon-Sutton, Christine Randall, Tom Wheatley, and Nicole Miners.

The producer Dovile Kirvelaityte stated that “after being intrigued by the first draft of the They’re Outside (2020) screenplay, I felt it needed a new angle to really bring the story to life. The mood and energy of the piece really fired up once it was re-written in the context of found footage. The directors and I agreed the story suddenly found its heartbeat. It was a really fun shoot, and the pagan influences were spellbinding at every level”.

They’re Outside (2020) is out on digital on October 29, 2021, from Terror Films. Watch here the official trailer.
