An abandoned school is the subject of a paranormal investigation in "Infrared"

Infrared (2022) is a found-footage-style movie filled up with humor, a high dosage of scares, and the promise of an astonishing plot twist.

The movie centers on a paranormal investigator and his production crew who gain access to a mysterious, abandoned school but when the thrilling haunt turns deadly, the team must race to uncover the terrifying truth before they become the school’s next victims.

This is the new work of the tandem of writers, producers, and directors Robert Livings and Randy Nundlall Jr., who already collaborated together in the independent comedy The Other Girl (2020).

The main cast is formed by Greg Sestero, known for his appearance in the cult classic movie The Room (2003), with Jesse Janzen, Leah Finity, Ariel Ryan, Samantha Laurenti, Nicole Berry, Ian Hopps, Austin Blank, Romulo Reyes, Lori Richardson, and the directors Robert Livings and Randy Nundlall Jr. in supporting roles.

In the words of the filmmakers, “Infrared (2022) is first and foremost a horror film, but at its heart, is a movie about siblings reconnecting in a time of need. Often in horror films, we find ourselves rooting for the characters we don’t like to die, so it was important for us to develop characters that we wanted to survive, creating a larger emotional investment for those watching. With this intention in mind, we set out to wholly develop their backstories and create a believable connection. From there we tackled the darker themes and scares within the film, workshopping ideas with our actors, and giving them the freedom of collaboration within our improvisational process”.

The movie is coming out on digital platforms on July 22, 2022, on week after on the official Horror Films Channel on July 29, and later on August 5 on Kings of Horror.
